Custom furniture & carpentry in Koh Samui

Furniture made to measure — if it's wood and built for your space, we design and build it, not a catalogue.

Custom furniture and carpentry design concept for a Koh Samui villa

Off-the-shelf furniture is built for average rooms. Villas on Koh Samui don't have average rooms: there are double-height ceilings, awkward alcoves, outdoor living areas, and views a standard cabinet would sit against awkwardly. Custom work starts from the room, not the catalogue — measured, drawn, and agreed with you before anything is cut.

Every piece follows the same path: we measure and template on site, talk through materials and finishes for the way the piece will live, build in the workshop, dry-fit, finish, and install. You see and approve the design and the quote before fabrication starts.

The island's climate is part of the brief. Heat, humidity, and salt air move and punish wood, so what a piece is made of — and how every face and edge is sealed — matters as much as how it looks. We'll talk you through the trade-offs honestly: solid wood, plywood, and sheet materials each have jobs they're right for, and jobs they're not.

If a job is better suited to another trade, we'll say so. We quote before we start — no surprise line items.

We do the work, keep you updated, and leave the site clean.

Frequently asked questions

How does the design process work?

Start from whatever you have — a photo, a sketch, a saved image, or just the room. We measure, talk through materials and finish, and confirm the design and quote with you before building.

Can you build from my architect's drawings?

Yes. Send the drawings with your enquiry and we'll quote from them, and flag anything that needs deciding before fabrication.

Can you match existing furniture or woodwork?

We can usually get very close on profile, stain, and finish. Matching aged or weathered wood exactly takes judgement — we'll be honest about how close we can get before you commit.

What woods work best in Samui's climate?

Humidity and salt air are hard on wood. Dense hardwoods and well-sealed builds cope best, and the detail that matters most is sealing every face — including the ones you never see — and allowing for movement. We'll talk through the options for your specific project when we quote.

Do you take small one-off pieces, or only big projects?

Both. A single shelf, one door, or a full villa fit-out — describe the job and we'll quote it.

How should we reply?

Area or village — it helps us plan the site visit.

Sizes, rough measurements, links to furniture you've bought — and mention if you have photos; we'll ask for them by chat or email.
